"Gen" as a category refers to fics that do not feature romantic or sexual relationships, or only show them in background characters. "Polyam" as a category refers to when a character is in multiple romantic or sexual relationships at once. If there are multiple relationships of different types in major characters, repeat the tag as necessary.

Dreamwidth HTML/CSS formatting guideRatings explanation
: This content is suitable for anyone. : The content may be inappropriate for audiences under 13. : This is for content with heavy themes.Major Warnings explanation
The Blue Heron Tea Nook is a tag warning culture, which allows writers to push boundaries while ensuring that readers who wish to avoid such works can do so. Readers are expected to exercise reasonable judgement in what they can and cannot handle. These warnings have been selected because they are both likely to come up in Pale fanfiction, and because they are likely to upset significant numbers of readers when unwarned for.If no warnings apply, write in "none."Posters may opt out of listing these warnings by writing "choose not to warn." This means that any number of warnings may apply, but the poster does not wish to specify. Gory, graphic, explicitly described violence. Exactly where to draw the line is your call.Detailed description of parasitism, disfigurement, mutation, or unsettling bodily configuration meant to cause horror in the reader.Situations where a character is being abused emotionally, physically, or financially by another character with power over them.Gendered harassment or discrimination.Harassment or discrimination on the basis of race.Harassment or discrimination on the basis of sexuality. Deadnaming, harassment, or violence on the basis of a character being trans. Unwanted sexual comments, insinuations, or actions towards a character. Tagging explanation
Tags are used to ensure works are discoverable even after they are no longer on the front page. Tags beyond the instructions here may not be accepted.
Dreamwidth uses alphabetical order and simulated nesting of tags. ! and . both force tags to the top of alphabetical order, so they are used to ensure that important tags are displayed first on posts and in the tag list.
In multichapter works, entries beyond the first are left untagged except for [series: title] to increase discoverability of the first entry.
Tags on works here may be edited by admin at any time.
